Good Vibrations

No, this is not a blast from the past about to get groovy. I’m referring to the masterminds behind three business I’m crushing on. These people just give off a good vibe. The websites and blogs provide enough good energy that make me want to pack my bags for NYC now, so that I can breathe the same creative air.

The first should come as no surprise for anyone who has kept up with my blog. I don’t hide my obsession with Warby Parker very well. You would think I work for them as often as I write about them. I just recently finished my home try-on for my sunnies and I can’t wait to order! (you’ll get to hear about them soon, promise) I love keeping up with the Warby Parker class trip through their blog. Thanks to them I know the places to visit when I make it to the west coast! The greatest news is that they just reached a milestone of 500,000 pairs of glasses donated!

The second business just provided some lucky people with the cutest Fourth of July parties this nation has encountered. Revelry House has made a business out of the most fun part of planning any party – the decorations! I only wish I would have thought of this sooner! Their party-in-a-box supplies decorations as well as utensils and recipes for a party of 25. The girls behind the idea also supply great advice for any type of soiree on their blog as well. I can’t wait to see what their bachelorette party box includes for my special celebration (whenever that may be).

My newest fascination came from learning about College Prepster‘s friend, the mastermind behind Design Darling. The decor is to die for since I’m finally kissing the dorms goodbye next year and moving into an apartment. I am looking for ways to make it absolutely fabulous and this site has it all at an incredibly affordable price. I’ve been drooling over all of the fun colors and monograms! My favorite pieces are the acrylic tray, complete with topiary or latest floral arrangement. I’m also swooning over the Turkish towel, which is just right for studying on the lawn or a picnic with friends.

What are your favorite companies to stalk religiously linger over?

Warby Parker Home Try-On

The most exciting 5 days for my face! That’s right I ordered and have tried out my Warby Parker home try-on glasses! I absolutely loved it! It was so fun to wear glasses around campus and see which ones people liked the best. This also let me spread the word about what the amazing company. I mean, they make glasses for dogs, what can be cooler? I am sadly having to ship the glasses back today, but I can’t wait to order my actual glasses!

So when the glasses arrived, they were shipped in this super neat box!

IMG_3270Once I had finished my lunch I immediately got to trying on pairs! I love a good pair of glasses.

Begley in Whisky Tortoise

Ainsworth in Walnut Tortoise

Downing in Walnut Tortoise

Percey in Striped Sassafras

The Perceys are my favorite! I thought I was going to like the Mallory the best, but I think that style looks better as sunglasses on me. The Percey is the best combination of something different without having too much of my cheek using the glasses.

Which ones are your favorites? What glasses would you order from their website? Would you order a pair for your dog?

Warby Parker

So, I’m crushing. Really hard. No, not on a boy. Warby Parker glasses! They are absolutely adorable! I wear a pair of reading glasses and I love it. It has been proven by anyone that knows me that I am more focused when I wear my glasses. Well, over Christmas break I found out I needed a new prescription. This also means new glasses! While I still don’t have my new glasses, it’s ok. I’m probably going to need a new prescription soon anyways. (I swear the amount I spend on the computer doing homework is killing my eyes) My current glasses are Burberry and I love them, but I want to do something different and a little less expensive.

Then, I discovered Warby Parker through The College Prepster! They are perfect! They are mostly run through their online store, but there are shops in New York and San Francisco. So the way it works is you pick 5 pairs that they will ship you for free for home try-on. You have these glasses for 5 days and once you’re done, you just send them back-still completely free. Once you have decided on the pair that is best for you, just go online and place your order. The best part: the glasses are only $95 and when you buy a pair they give a pair to someone in need!

I don’t think my parents are ready to buy me new glasses yet, but I’m seriously considering ordering my 5 tonight so that I could have them picked out for the summer. If I had to pick my 5 right now this is how I would rank them.

I don’t think these would look very good on me but they look so fun!

Absolutely obsessed!

They also have a 1922 Collection right now that are “The Great Gatsby” inspired! If only I could rock those as well.

These are what I’m daydreaming about as I work on this presentation on McDonald’s. I’m so over it, but if you have any questions about MCD, I’m your girl!
